Lost in the middle of the stars for thousands of years, the human civilization has managed to elucidate many mysteries throughout its evolution. Its taste for science and its intelligence has led it little by little to discover the best kept secrets of the Universe. Imagining, exploring, building, failing, starting over and then succeeding. This is, according to me, the characteristic of Man.

Thanks to the analogy evoked by the construction of these geometrical sets, Matrix highlights the labyrinthine dimension of human existence and its procession through time.

Because there is undeniably enough to get lost and the infinite complexity of the world that surrounds us would make the cables of the most powerful of our supercomputers pale for the moment. So who can we leave it to? To fate? To God? To ourselves? Personally, I chose to leave it to Art.

The starting point was to create a labyrinthine scheme in which the viewer is invited to get lost. Once the structure on paper is drawn, I transfer it to the computer. This is an essential step because the original motif can then be declined into several series of works using different combinations and geometric manipulations that are greatly facilitated by the use of specific software.

Once the sketch is completed, the still immaterial work can be transcribed on different materials such as wood, paper, cork, leather or plastic using technological tools such as laser cutting or digital milling.

This process allows me to obtain a truly perfect palpable form, thanks to which I can then give free rein to my imagination.

Artist Profile

Born: 1995

Hometown: Paris

Based in: Paris

Becoming an Artist was my childhood dream. Art is sacred to me. It is a visceral need and my whole life is dedicated to it. The freedom to be able to express my perception of the world and to transcribe it through my works in order to share it pushed me to assert myself as an artist a little more every day.

I first have a plastic approach in which experimentation has a very important place. I am currently developing several series of works that fit into an eclectic universe. However, abstraction plays a major role in my approach because it allows me to transcribe my most intimate impulses and constitutes a powerful testimony, imbued with a fundamentally human and spiritual charge which in my opinion goes far beyond figuration.
