Wild Style Geometry

The term "Wild Style" has been used in the graffiti world since its inception and has survived to this day. It refers to a way of composing letters making it difficult to read and causing them to intersect. A series of elements are usually added with which a sensation of movement is obtained and that give character to the composition. The result is characteristic and recognizable for its shapes and geometries.

I was part of the elements of the "Wild Style", abstracts its elements and reinterprets its symbols. Destructures the codes of classic graffiti, which leads him to achieve compositions far removed from it, but in which its essence can be perceived.

Play with different elements, such as a determined chromatic palette made up of vivid colors, the most essential movements of the letters in graffiti and the intersections that are generated in each of these movements. The result is a very interesting geometric abstraction

Artist Profile

Born: 19

Hometown: Castellon

Based in: Ibiza / Dubai

Hize began painting graffiti from a young age in his hometown, Castellón. He studied Fine Arts at the Universitat Politècnica de València, but soon focused on his career as a Break dancer. After many years dancing in the street, he managed to jump into television programs and dance companies, creating his own shows, which would later take him to work around the world.

After more than 25 years painting ephemeral interventions in the street, he decided to experiment with his work in the studio. This experimentation is based on the abstract shapes found in traditional graffiti.

His creative urgency is evident, whether on stage or on canvas. Both disciplines, in principle distant, are connected in elements such as movement, which he symbolizes through corporal expression or through the arrangement of the letters from which his painting starts.
