Artist statement
Playful images reminiscent of French Chinoiserie in pottery, fabrics and wall coverings, Lobo focuses on painting the spaces around the objects to create the objects themselves. The flora and fauna are made from splashes of color, remaining abstract. Her ever-present play with East-West themes is evident in this collection.
