A new series of my paintings is dedicated to the East, or rather my trip to Egypt in March 2021. I spent a whole month in this mysterious country, traveling through the most ancient cities, admiring the pyramids, ancient temples and tombs of the pharaohs, studying the heritage of the historical museum in Cairo, living unforgettable days and nights in the vast endless desert, scuba diving in the depths of the red Sea.
I want to dedicate a few of my works to the aromas of the East. What is a fragrance?
Imagine lands that are warmed by the sun 365 days a year. Trees and flowers get little water, the natural juice that fills the plant has a very concentrated, very rich and bright aroma. Almost all plants in Egypt are used to produce essential oils and perfumes. If you were with me in a factory where they make fragrance oils, you would share my ecstasy.
Shelves that are 3-4 meters high are filled from bottom to top with glass flasks with concentrated plant juices - lotus flowers, the sweetness of vanilla, the burning power of sandalwood, the cold and freshness of desert mint and dozens and hundreds of their mixtures.
Exploring this side of Eastern culture, this invisible but powerful natural wealth, turned my head. As a result, all my hands and face were enveloped in a crazy vortex of invisible dance of scents.

The picture is painted with active live strokes, it feels the play and movement of colors. The oil environment is displayed by the fluidity of its texture. The plot of the picture moves, changes and adapts to your mood.
The sides of the picture are the continuation of the image, so you do not need to place the picture in a frame.
Made on high-quality canvas (100% Linen, canvas density 400 gr / meter) stretched on a high quality wooden stretcher frame. Used the best Russian oil paints produced in Russia, the city of St. Petersburg.
