In this painting, I conceived a double meaning. The first forward direction begins to develop from the name. The word "vacation" evokes pleasant associations of relaxation, gentle sun. The word "flamingo" adds exoticism and expands the scope of the dream, taking it to a tropical country with unusual enchanting views of nature. The viewer sees the heroine of the picture sitting in a gazebo in the light of the setting sun and admiring a flock of pink flamingos.
But this picture has a second side. What if thinking about vacation is just a dream? If now she is sitting on a velvet sofa and admiring the new wallpaper on the wall of her room? A ray of the setting sun warmed her face and hands and carried her dreams far beyond the horizon.

This picture envelops the viewer with delicate creamy shades in one of its half, adding juicy fuchsia and young greenery in its other part.
