Artist Statement
Crossing Over (CO) is a medium sized original abstract diptych acrylic painting on panels by artist Marlene Struss, protected with satin polymer varnish, signed, wired, and cradled in stained wood. A fascinating organically patterned surreal landscape lies at the bottom of the picture like a perished body under a foreboding green sky fraught with bolts of yellow. The impression is one of stark and mysterious beauty on an unearthly plane.
