Artist Statement
For this geometric piece I used vintage linen from that I had left outdoors on my studio patio for several months so that the weather would leave its traces in it. I also treated it with bleach and combined it with fabrics that have different textures into this sacral abstract composition.

Born 1983 in Alzenau, Germany
B.A. in Fashion Design from HTW Berlin
I started making art out of fabrics in 2016 when we moved to LA out of curiosity and the desire to work with my hands again after I had worked computer based jobs for many years.
Quickly I realized that this is what I want to do in life. There’s nothing like creating something out of nothing and the unlimited freedom you have.
I chose fabric as my medium because I understand how to
work with it due to my training as a fashion designer and because the textures are so interesting.
In the past years I was included in several group shows and I had two solo shows in Los Angeles. My work is part of numerous private and public collections in the US and Europe.
