The artwork belongs to a collection of paintings created on raw canvas with acrylic paints and acrylic inks. The title of the whole series is Raw & Vulnerable, as it captures a moment of those feelings when I created the pieces during the COVID-19 pandemic between March-May 2020. I was trying to capture hope and light onto the canvas amid uncertainty and fear. In doing so, I found it helped to soothe my anxieties and brought a certain sense of calm. Through painting, I embraced change and uncertainties with a sense of hope and faith that all things will come to pass. It is my wish that whoever views the artwork will also receive a sense of calm and serenity in those moments of enjoying the painting.
