Born: 1979

Hometown: Alabang

Lives and Works: Muntinlupa City

Born in 1979, Michelline Syjuco, the eldest daughter of experimental artists Cesare and Jean Marie Syjuco, has been creating art since early childhood. She is an experimental sculptor, visual artist, and designer who is best known in elite art and fashion circles for her bold and daring flights of fantasy. At the age of 4, she was the country’s youngest painter to be exhibited in the juried Annual Exhibition of the Art Association of the Philippines. Her photographs and articles likewise appeared in various magazines and newspapers for public consumption. She has been a finalist for the Ateneo Art Awards multiple times, and has also been selected as a representative to the prestigious and juried Sungduan Art Exhibition at The National Museum of The Philippines. Most recently, she exhibited alongside National Artist Arturo Luz in The Yuchengco Museum's ArtWearable show. She is a permanent fixture in both the Manila art and fashion scenes, and has won numerous awards and accolades in both fields. She has also been named one of Manila's most stylish women--a number of times, by The Philippine Daily Inquirer, Metro Magazine, Look Magazine, and most recently, by Cream Silk.
