About the art
Everybody in my family knows how to sew. My grandmother pictured in the painting always had the hobby of sewing, stitching and knitting, she likes doing this. Both of my grandmothers know this craft, it's useful while living and communism and not having many options when it comes to clothing. People used to wear clothes out all the time. I always see her enjoy doing this, creating, it gives an occupation.
The image is both past and present, I took the picture to capture the moment, it was a long exposure on film, edited by me, exaggerating the format and colors for a more cinematic look.
The sides are painted black and the painting is signed on the back. The painting is mounted on a wooden support
