White borders around the paintings is a silk mounting, it is a part of painting. This is a traditional way in Asia for mounting and finishing paintings. Widely seen and know in museums with Chinese scrolls and paintings. It is a unique technic and could be done only in Asia, as I was living in Hong Kong for 4,5 years while was studying Chinese painting and calligraphy I made a connection with masters who are doing this for me. Currently living in London, as soon as my painting finished I send it to Hong Kong for this special mounting as it ads texture, unique beauty, holds tradition and add sense of delicacy and finishing. I also love that in a result it is a mix of East and West technics, abstract paintings with traditional for calligraphy inks and papers.

Calligraphy as abstract painting, my own language and stories story behind each painting.
Big influence on these series were my childhood pianoforte musical lessons, from sounds of music itself to aesthetic of musical sheets, which both are abstract, together with studying of Chinese calligraphy in Hong Kong found representation in this series.
I want to share multilayered delicacy of ink and textures of paper which are indeed enchanting and gives pure pleasure
Painting ready to hung and enjoy!

I was graduated from Pianoforte school same time as my Art College and music was and still is a great inspiration for me, striating from aesthetic of musical sheets, which years later become major inspiration for series Reeds on a Lake to music itself.
Beauty, delicacy and same time strong power of nature these what I am in constant try to represent and capture and are my main source of inspiration and joy to explore. If this is a trip to Mongolian's steppes, Australia, busy Hong Kong, unique Madagascar, beautiful beaches and other fantastic places or just walk in a local park, always a lot to see a lot to discover and share through my art. Would it be patterns, lines, textures or emotion, feeling of the place.
