Artist Statement
Flowers have always been closely intertwined with the concept of beauty.
With my painting, I am trying to capture the elegance and timeless essence of the natural world. I focus on organic shapes, textures, colour, and light to express the perfection of plants that have evolved over billions of years.

Monika de la Flor (born Monika Jauniūtė; May 4, 1998, Lithuania) is an artist living in Bern, Switzerland. She spent her early creative years at Šilutė's School of Art in her home country from 2009 to 2017. Monika discovered her passion for painting flowers while living in The Netherlands from 2019-2020. She moved to Switzerland in 2021 to become an apprentice for Master Artist Dent-de-Lion du Midi and to learn the technique of oil painting.
