Artist Statement

Acrylic on canvas, stretched and ready to hang.
Signed on the front.
Emergence is a part of the Elemental Collection which relates to the four elements being earth, fire, air and water. It embodies the idea of something being born from the element of water. The drips of blue on the painting are reminiscent of small tributaries coming together to form a river. These drips combine to make movement and texture in the painting and go towards producing a strong visual image. With a limited palette in shades of blue, taupe and green Emergence is created with acrylic paint, gloss medium, pearlescent paint, inks, texture and drips. The sides are painted white. It has a light coat of gloss varnish over the paintings which produces a slight sheen. It is signed on the front and comes with a Certificate of Authenticity signed by the artist. It is registered in the National Registry of Australian Art and Artists as proof of provenance. Registration number provided. Emergence is a statement piece of art that will make a powerful presence in your home.
