Artist Statement
Outside the Square is a textured and colourful abstract painted on stretched canvas. It has a light coat of varnish to protect the painting and bring out the colours. It is professionally framed with a Tasmanian Oak frame and is ready to hang with a wire across the back. It comes with a signed Certificate of Authenticity from the artist. The inspiration for this piece was to celebrate our ability to think creatively “outside the square” and to be able to express our unique qualities as individuals. Many layers of paint were applied and washed off in an effort to produce something that was unique with hidden complexity and texture. This painting has been exhibited at the Whitehorse Art Show and the Bendigo Bank Exhibition in Carlton. The size without the frame is 76 cm x 101cm x 4 cm. The framed size is 78 cm x 103 cm x 5.5 cm. It is recorded in the National Australian Registry of Art and Artists.
