Artist Statement
As an initiative into searching for purer language, Untitled (No.1) embodies feelings, humanistic emotions and spaces through abstraction. They need to interact with humanity, inducing psychological or visceral responses without references from the material realm. The greatness of scales engulfs the viewer, shifting their reality from a tangible one to one within the realm of the painting. The motivation is partly reactionary to the over saturation of representational art, of which the message often gets lost due to the ambiguity of representation. Abstraction embraces the viewer, for their experience and interpretation of the painting reveals to themselves their inner most feelings and condition.
