About the art
Artist statement
The photograph captures the essence of simplicity and timelessness with its monochromatic tones and stark imagery. The foreground of the image features the remains of pylons, standing stoically amidst the vast expanse of white sky and water. The dilapidated structures are the only feature of the photograph, but they convey a sense of history and the passage of time. The image evokes a sense of nostalgia, as the pylons appear to be remnants of a bygone era, standing witness to the changing tides of time. The black and white contrast highlights the stark beauty of the pylons, and their simple yet powerful presence is captivating.
