TIME, MARKED BY TIME
time is the ruler of our daily lives
we are not the masters of time, but it commands us.
Have you ever tried to do something without being disturbed by time?
When it happens to me, the thing I am doing takes on a different value, I savour it much more.
For this work, I chose a pocket watch to express the emotion you feel when you lose track of time, but also to appreciate what you have in the present, to seize the moment.
This work is part of the 2021 series entitled Catch the Moment and is number 22 in this series.
I created the work with the technique of oil colour on board, I use oil colour as a glaze, that is, I superimpose many very thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.
The framed work measures 40x34x2.5 cm,
is a wood pulp frame that I coloured with the same colour as the background of the painting and then treated with neutral wax that I coloured with pigments to give body to the frame.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity. For shipments outside the European Union it is necessary to wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Culture and this may cause a delay of a few days.

Nicoletta Bagatti was born in Parma, Italy, in 1968.
A self-taught artist, she has been able to express her thoughts and life through art since childhood.
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy since 1999.
In 2004, she was chosen for a cultural exchange and in the summer of that year, she painted at the ART CENTER in Miami in the United States, working with artists from all over the world.
In 2009, his installation of the series '...A NUDO' was exhibited at the Lu.C.C.A. - Lucca Center Of Contemporary Art (Museum of Contemporary Art of Lucca).
Over the years, the artist's way of making art has changed a lot, but what has always remained constant is his modus operandi. He uses an ancient technique, that of oil painting, and takes care of every part of his works, starting with the construction of the support. She highlights the parts of the painting that she needs to express the message she wants and leaves others incomplete to give free interpretation to those who observe them.
The artist likes to work on themes, even very different ones, in which she puts all of herself in order to stimulate, without reserve, her imagination and that of the observer.
Through painting, she completely expresses herself, her inner world, her fears, her dreams.
