Artist Statement

In a scene from the 'Alice in Wonderland' cartoon at one point all the dishes start dancing, or at least that's what I remember. I especially remember a round, fat teapot with big eyes dancing and singing.

This distant memory served me to create a movement in this work where three teapots dance before falling to the ground....or not...it depends on who wants to look further and imagine another ending!

This work is part of the COGLI L'ATTIMO series and is the twentieth, with this series I try to address the theme of not wasting time, and enjoying every moment that life gives us before it is too late.

I created the work with the technique of oil colour on canvas, I use oil colour as a glaze, i.e. I superimpose many very thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.

The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity

For shipping outside the EU, we need to wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this may cause a delay of a few days.

Artist Profile

Born: 1968

Hometown: Parma

Based in: Sorbolo Mezzani - PR

Nicoletta Bagatti was born in Parma, Italy, in 1968.

A self-taught artist, she has been able to express her thoughts and life through art since childhood.

She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy since 1999.
In 2004, she was chosen for a cultural exchange and in the summer of that year, she painted at the ART CENTER in Miami in the United States, working with artists from all over the world.
In 2009, his installation of the series '...A NUDO' was exhibited at the Lu.C.C.A. - Lucca Center Of Contemporary Art (Museum of Contemporary Art of Lucca).

Over the years, the artist's way of making art has changed a lot, but what has always remained constant is his modus operandi. He uses an ancient technique, that of oil painting, and takes care of every part of his works, starting with the construction of the support. She highlights the parts of the painting that she needs to express the message she wants and leaves others incomplete to give free interpretation to those who observe them.

The artist likes to work on themes, even very different ones, in which she puts all of herself in order to stimulate, without reserve, her imagination and that of the observer.
Through painting, she completely expresses herself, her inner world, her fears, her dreams.
