I made this work on a panel, I treated the background with chalk to create a textural layer, coloured it with ochre, burnt earth and blue and only then did I start painting with oil colours.
I use oil colour by superimposing many thin layers of appropriately diluted colour to create the effects I want.
I have depicted some river stones that I am used to collecting on all my outings,
I like to imagine that I have caught them trying to find their balance and show off their skills!
I finished painting this work in 2005 and it is part of the series I MNEMAGOGHI = memory arousers
The work has a white frame measuring 32x32x3 cm.
The work is signed on the front and back and will be accompanied by a certificate of authenticity
for shipment outside the EU it is necessary to wait for authorisation from the Ministry of Cultural Heritage and this could entail a delay of a few days
Based in: Sorbolo Mezzani - PR
NOTE: I will be away from 1 to 29 August 2022
Nicoletta Bagatti was born in Parma, Italy, in 1968.
A self-taught artist, she has been able to express her thoughts and life through art since childhood.
She has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions throughout Italy since 1999.
In 2004, she was chosen for a cultural exchange and in the summer of that year, she painted at the ART CENTER in Miami in the United States, working with artists from all over the world.
In 2009, his installation of the series '...A NUDO' was exhibited at the Lu.C.C.A. - Lucca Center Of Contemporary Art (Museum of Contemporary Art of Lucca).
Over the years, the artist's way of making art has changed a lot, but what has always remained constant is his modus operandi. He uses an ancient technique, that of oil painting, and takes care of every part of his works, starting with the construction of the support. She highlights the parts of the painting that she needs to express the message she wants and leaves others incomplete to give free interpretation to those who observe them.
The artist likes to work on themes, even very different ones, in which she puts all of herself in order to stimulate, without reserve, her imagination and that of the observer.
Through painting, she completely expresses herself, her inner world, her fears, her dreams.
