The Mountain Series is about her journeys in Asia. The juxtaposition of mountains and temples amidst the clouds is something that only Asia has offered over millenniums. It’s her humble attempt to bow to the mighty presence of peace, calm, and the serene spaces created by the spiritual works. It is an attempt to travel back in time when these places must have allowed the seekers to soak themselves in the calmness and connect with the universe.

Nidhi Samani is a British-Indian artist practicing in Singapore. Trained as a Fashion Designer, she explores art through textures and various mediums like Oils, Acrylics, Charcoal, Mixed Medium and Chinese inks.
Nidhi's works is bold, infused with vibrant thoughts, dominating and inviting textures, instilling a calm and composed juxtaposition of mind over matter. Her current series of works uses traditional and modern mixed mediums to create sensorial juxtaposition of the subtle unconscious and subconscious memories which she calls the fossils of the mind,
She is intrigued by the new dimensions that she perceives through her senses. Nature and enlightenment through mysticism is her source of inspiration that draws her to find the purpose of her existence. We consider walking on water or in thin air is a miracle. Nidhi quotes Nhat Hanh: “the real miracle is not to walk neither on water nor in thin air, but to walk on earth itself”. Every day we are engaged in a miracle which we don’t even recognise: The blue skies, the white clouds, the green leaves, the deep curious eyes.
30 years ago, after her formal training in Fashion Designing, she found her passion for illustrations and translations of expressions through her sketches. She went on to establish School of Fashion Designing, training adults in Fashion Designing in India. She continued her passion in fashion by launching her fashion studio and her label. She took a formal study inWestern Art at the National Academy of Fine Arts, Singapore. Fascinated by Chinese brush strokes, she trained under the tutelage of Master Lin Lu Zai, in Singapore.
She has participated and shown her works at various art exhibitions and fairs in Singapore, Hongkong, Jakarta, Dubai, India. Her works are acquired by the British High Commissioner to Singapore and were displayed at their official residence, Eden Hall in 2018-19.
