Nirupama Francis uses organic irregularities formed by coffee stains to create visual forms. As much a fan of natural medium she also sees limitless possibilities in digital art. Her originals and prints have mostly been in the private space as commissions and to individual buyers. She had co-owned a communication design firm for 3 years before working independently as a designer/visual artist. Her logo design for an NGO called It’s My Right was selected for an International 2016 Muse Creative award (Gold) among nearly 1200 entrants from 33 countries. She meandered in the world of performing arts until eventually finding her “voice” and calling in Visual Arts. She seeks to use art as a tool that holds up a mirror to the times that we live in. Recurrent mediums of expression are coffee, ink, digital painting and animated GIFs. She was born in Bangalore, raised, married and currently living in Chennai, India. She also has a formal education in Visual Communication and 3D Modeling for feature films.
