Representation of a cross-border and arid space questioning the notion of territory and border. Sliced color code, saturated colors here, Olivia Babel sets up a desert space, made of full and empty, relief and flat. A multifactorial, utopian and atypical space is presented.
Cartography, textiles, printing... Babel develops a universe imbued with unexpected associations, so as to create impactful, unique works that catch the eye.
The work is embroidered entirely by hand with lockstitch and stem stitch techniques, on cotton or foam fabrics. We have a combination of fabrics dyed and printed by hand, with the technique of screen printing.
Unique, rare and exclusive piece.
70 hours of work.
