Artist Statement
What if we take all the contemporary noise and put it in the form of a manuscript? How this documented reality of our days will look like?
This is my idea of it.
"The Manuscript of now" is a minimalist mixed media artwork, featuring abstract copper embroidery on raw canvas.
All artworks are made with professional quality paints on the best possible canvases and stretched by me to a wooden frame.
Packed extremely safely with minimum possible use of plastic and dispatched from Hungary.
I hope you enjoy viewing the artwork.
Please do not hesitate to contact The Artling in case you have any comments/questions etc.

Hi! I’m Olya.
I'm an artist who lives and works in Budapest, Hungary.
Within my art practice I try and explore nature in its most calm moments. Fog, lakes, rain – water in its different form is what catches my attention.
What excites me the most in the subject is the feeling of complete serenity and power at the same time. Exact same feeling I try and convey through my artworks.
I build composition on familiar to our eyes natural landscape forms then taking the viewer to an imaginary world of shapes and reflections where they can relax and meditate.
My work is meant to be tactile. I use raw canvas, fibers and threads that give that touchy and natural feeling to an artwork. Embroidery in the paintings is used as an opposition to a soft paint wash for certainty and rhythm. It softly guides a viewer through an artwork.
Recently I’ve found myself drawn to collage techniques as well. I fell in love with the textures that are achievable when working with both: paper and textile. Now I’m finding my way to connect my existing subject with collages and find a new way to communicate my ideas.
