Artist Statement

The arrival of images from the subconscious mind is an uncontrollable process. We cannot stop it. On the contrary, we have to tune our consciousness to the interpretation of these images. Initially we have only archetypal entities (inexpressible idea) in the subconscious. Note that consciousness does not create archetypes and meanings, it is only capable of expressing them in a figurative form. Myth, dream, artistic images and other forms of archetypes expression cannot produce a clearly formulated, definite thought; if they start doing that, they will cease to be themselves. Thus, the function of our consciousness is to express meaning through image. Consciousness helps to bring archetypes (essences) into the world around us. We do not make up meanings, but archetypes bring meanings into the world around us, we merely objectify them with images and read them from similar images.
