Artist statement
"Savage" is a striking abstract painting that exudes power and intensity. Bold black strokes create a sense of raw energy and untamed emotion. A solitary dash of red serves as the focal point, commanding attention amidst the darkness. The artwork captures the primal and visceral nature of the human experience, evoking a sense of wildness and untamed passion.
Peisy’s work often explores the boundaries of reflection and emotion in its simplest forms and purest abstraction. Building layers of bold colours and expressive brushstrokes to create depth and a sense of space, with the woven textures that signify the pursuit of creative freedom and the longing to break out. The play of strong contrast of colours, chaos and structure enables an innate sensory experience of empowerment.
