Artist Statement

We see a painting in deep ultramarine blue and rosé with three semi-visible red circles. The three circles seem a bit lost like floating somewhere in the universe and trying to connect more and more. The blue and rosé inspire a sense of tenderness and sweet melancholy.
Petra Schott is a mostly abstract painter. She puts emotions into brushstrokes and colours and connects us to a universe of conscious and half-conscious feelings which can never be completely put into words.
Petra Schott's favourite medium for the time being is oil with its naturalness of colours and its beautiful textures.
