Artist Statement

This painting provides a feeling of floating in a milky sea of rose buds. We can feel an upward movement in the painting and want to extend into all these layers of white and rosé. The viewer can feel a background behind the white colour which is perhaps more dramatic but the drama has come to an end now and what remains is pure pleasure. The title too reveals that something more dramatic is hidden in this painting which has dissolved into something soft and supporting.
