Artist statement
The series “Invented Memories” is the most personal and universal artwork of Poggio Di Poggio.
The paintings and the poems are the perfect combinaison of the artist’s favorite themes such as: Life & Spirituality, Mankind & Nature, Beauty & Art History.
The images and the texts are on the edge of abstraction and figuration, they reflect places and temporal spaces coming from personal experiences and universal collective memory.
Contemplating and reading, we are at the jonction of consciousness and unawareness, self and not self, reality and illusion.
