Artist Statement

This is my copy of a 1610 engraving of the painter, Hieronymus Bosch. This image of Bosch is most interesting, because of the creatures that inhabit the window behind the artist's head. They are typical of what contemporaries thought of as the creatures that inhabit many of Bosch's paintings. I made my image to be as faithful to the original as possible and I used Sepia ink to capture the tone of the old engraving, and as always, all materials are acid-free. My picture is 5"x4" and is framed at 15"x12". It is archivally mounted, matted and framed and ready to hang.
