Artist Statement

Creating Space is a series of unique collages made from botanical photograms of flower petals and cliché verre prints of lace, cut out and put onto cyanotype photograms of lace.

The cyanotypes come in and out of focus. The contrast between the dark blue background and the brightly colored collaged pieces on top of it creates a sense of depth. This series is about the chaos of finding time and space in everyday life.
