Artist statement
Many models are tall, and Juliet was no expectation. The top of her head was almost four feet. Her beauty was captivating. She was perfect, almost surreal. Unlike many birds, the feathers on her body were tiny, giving her a look of a smooth white coat instead of rough feathers like most birds. During the shoot, craft services served large sardines and other small fish to snack on. When she took down a fish, the expansion of her beak was just incredible. I absolutely love the gray tones on the equally luminous background gray.
