Artist Statement
His action painting shows the tension between controlled and chance. He sees this process of art making like cooking an omelet. The intensity of his strokes depend on his movement, gravity and the drying time of the paint. This is a one time process, just like cooking the omelet it can be too dry, too thick, or too soft depending on the action of the chef. Unlike his design works that are very controlled and undergone some lengthy process.
