Artist Statement
"Turf" is a drawing/painting on heavyweight printmaking paper. Originally inspired by a small bottle of ink I had in my studio, I have continually experimented with ink, applicators, calligraphy pens and collage. The all-over pattern of "Turf" incorporates my process of repetitive, compulsive mark-making with a new drawing technique on one of my favorite surfaces, paper.
