The concept of Marion comes from the idea of "Rainbow Love". In this time and age, Rebecca is proud to live in Australia - the country that celebrates and legalised the idea of Free Love. On Dec 2017, Australia passes the law for same sex marriage, Sparking an idea of "love is love" no gender or race should be discriminated.
Rebecca decided to paint a series of that speaks to the joys and hardship of Love is Love.
Celebrating an array of colours in various portraits of models from different race and gender backgrounds, emotions of strength, hardship, and sometimes sadness still shines through the subjects eyes. This puts a spin on the usual darker emotions expressed in her paintings. Marion 2.0 is the first of the series of 2019.
The painting is 610cm x 915cm signed and framed ready to hang on the wall.
50% of the proceeds goes as a donation to YEAH AWARE foundation to raise awareness in young people with sexual health information and supporting young people to take control of their sexual health through participation and leadership.
