Artist Statement
The relations between Dance and Painting have a common origin in the theater. The representation, the scene, the perspective, the setting.
The frontal plane responds to the perspective, the line: the color, and beyond the representation responds what is presented.
“My practice of painting is intimately linked to the practice of dance improvisation. My work is crossed by themes: gravitation, trajectory, levitation, fall… which come directly from “contact dance”. It is about new ways of inhabiting the world, space. The issues of the event, of orientation, of the situation of bodies and objects are played out ”.
