An idea of space and perception. Remi Delaplace has been reflecting on the perception of space for several years. The relationship between Dance and Painting has a common origin in the theater. The representation, the scene, the perspective, the frame.
The frontal plane responds to the perspective, the line: the color, and beyond the representation responds to what is presented. “My practice of painting is intimately linked to the practice of dance improvisation. My work is crossed by themes: gravitation, trajectory, levitation, fall, which come directly from "contact dance". It is about new ways of inhabiting the world, space.
The issues of the event, of orientation, of the situation of bodies, and objects are played out ”.
Based in: PARIS
Rémi Delaplace lives and works in Paris. He graduated from a Master2 in plastic arts "Contemporary Arts and New Media" at the University of Paris 8 in 2011.
The practice of contact dance nourishes her artistic work. It questions our relationship to space and its representation.
