René Wissink is a contemporary Dutch painter, living in a small village in the Netherlands. He is self-taught, new to the art world and has only recently decided to follow his passion, develop his creativity and discover his artistic talents.
René has always loved art. As a teenager he took art history and fine arts classes in high school. He stood out for the quality of his work and was invited to participate in an exhibition in The Hague. Although he was aware of his talent, he seeked his happiness and existence by conventional means, until he decided to quit his job in 2015 to fully focus on his passion for art.
His work is inspired by the beauty of dutch towns and facades, the power of color and light, and the splendor of nature. It can be characterized by a combined style of abstract and figurative painting, realistic elements and unexpected objects. By using vibrant colors, strong lines, shades and cubist elements in his paintings, he recreates the beauty of the scene.
