Artist Statement

This design is trying to speak of our visionary future. We will be traveling in space to explore the universe. That is evident to me, This might make a interesting logo for a company working in this area or an organization .

Besides being a desk top sculpture this object is an architects tool, a maquette, in that it is made to show exactly what this concept looks like. Most of the time when a sculptor is asked to submit a design it is a drawing on a piece of paper. Here you can see it as it would be in real life. If you put it so your eye level is at the height it would be enlarged to the view is exactly as it would be if you were walking up to it. This is why I took the picture from a low angle so you could get the idea it is meant to be enlarged. A metal fabricator would have it scanned and patterns developed and the sculpture is made from sheet metal of your choice. I sell you this and your fabricator builds it.

Artist Profile

Born: 1941

Hometown: Burlington, WI

Based in: Burlington, WI

I have an ambitious approach to life ... and to art ... make something happen every day ... but most of all have fun doing it! A sculptor first, and now working in 2D, I do my best to do just that. Presented here are examples of some of my work. •• My sculpture runs the gamut from abstract, to figurative, to architectural. The materials and methods used are diverse ... from figures modeled in clay or wax, then cast in pewter or bronze ... to aluminum maquettes (produced by evaporative pattern casting) which serve as the 3D blueprints for the pieces that are enlarged and fabricated from sheet metal of all kinds.
