Artist Statement
Abstract painting of peonies, painted with acrylic paints and markers. Due to the dark background and bright colors of the markers, the picture gets a neon effect. The petals seem to glow with neon light. The painting is about femininity, about the feminine principle. Peony as a symbol of a woman. Flowers painted in the style of automatic drawing resemble female figures and images. It's all painted spontaneously, without prior planning.
Mixed media painting on a thick paper. A good option for framing with a mat.
