Artist Profile
Born: 1983
Hometown: Milpitas, CA
Based in: Livermore, CA
Rizaldy Celi Jr. (b.1983, California, USA) uses oil and acrylic paints as well as other raw materials to create large scale works. His inspiration stems from his personal questions about heartbreak and despair, and a person's approach to love and relationships. He is self-taught and uses mixed media in his abstract approach to painting, with his main objective of feeling free while creating.
Oil painting has been a part of Rizaldy's youth, but did not take form until later in his adult life. Rizaldy is known for his experimental photography and creating narratives with digital mediums, but his paintings have gained a larger purpose, both for him and his audience.
