About the art
Artist statement
First RMS marble sculpture carved by 7-axis robot during first Digital Stone Project Robotic 2013 Stone Carving Workshop at Garfagnana Innovazione, Gramolazzo, Italy. Although it was roughed out by robot this marble sculpture was meticulously hand carved and finished directly by hand and machines skills of the artist. The title refers to he chaotic nature of many of the other residency participants as well as some of the local artisans and staff. The design was intended to reflect a universal dance of energy as the underlying structure of material existence.
