About the art
Artist statement
This series of works is affected by the Oriental art of writing hieroglyphs. The proficiency of writing these characters has always inspired me, and the process acquires certain performativity. When effectuating these works, there is only one chance to create a superior abstraction; therefore, it is essential to feel the size of the canvas, the mechanics of movement, and have an accurate picture of what you want to convey. For me, the painting of these works is associated with the art of dance, where the fluidity of the line and the weight of each step create harmony.
