Having begun her artistic career creating realistic portraits of people and animals Samantha moved into the world of abstraction. She is far better known for her bold use of colour and expressive, contemporary works than for her earlier pieces. Perhaps returning to faces was a natural progression. However, these faces are worlds away from realism yet there is something very human and very charismatic. Bold colours and mixed media were used to create Why Am I Here? Painted on 420mm x 297mm acid free 230g/m2 paper.
