Artist Statement
N2 is a collection of 24 psychedelic artworks created by Samu Carvajal in 2020. These works explore three main topics: creation, space, and the observer.
Borrowing the impressionist techniques and combining them with the abstract expressionists’ statement, Samu delivers a vibrant psychedelic landscape that manifests a new reality in the space between the artwork and the observer.
By not naming the artworks (a technique used by the classical music composers) the artist aims to abstract any intentional meaning enabling the observer to become part of the creation. The ultimate experience is composed in our minds.
