Artist Statement

This image was made at the Aberdyfi Estuary, central Wales on a peaceful camping trip - during the first time we could see friends again in summer 2020. Remember how we were scared of our friends? I'm sooo glad that time is over! It is part of the Aberdyfi Estuary series.

Evoking the essence of a space without capturing details is a hallmark of intentional camera movement (ICM) photography. A highly technical process, ICM involves photographing a scene with a slow shutter speed.
