Artist Statement

This figurative sculpture has been created from multiple manipulated pieces of 12" vinyl music records. The lava-like form is directly inspired by the volcanic and geologically significant coastline of East Lothian, where Seona spends much of her spare time.

The blue perspex rod has been custom formed and securely holds the sculpture tall and elevated, whilst emphasising the bodily curves. Seona's fine art practice and interest in geology contrasts with modern materials.
