Artist Statement
Taxis are undoubtedly among my favorite subjects to capture in Hong Kong, especially when the nigth comes and I always try to find the ones with their light on (which means they're available).
During a photo session, I noticed a queue of cars with a taxi waiting in line: taking advantage of this temporary queue, I quickly moved in the middle of the road, shooting the illuminated sing of the taxi as close as I could and blurrying the neon lights in the background: the final result is a cinematic image, that gives the viewer the feeling of being part of the scene.
Limited edition of 25 printed on Pro Luster paper, 42x60 cm (comes with a white border for easy framing), with signed certificate of authenticity.
