Artist Statement
Slightly surreal, totally uncanny, Shannon Cartier Lucy’s paintings present private scenes influenced in part by her upbringing in strange environments. Painting in a traditional, figurative style, Lucy injects intense moments of emotional resonance with the slightest compositional anomalies.
