Like sbc 194, this acrylic painting on medium-weave linen deviates from Cantrick’s habitual formats.
Indeed, the seascape format presented a particular challenge for so-called abstract rendering, making the artist more aware than ever how landscape – like the body – creeps regularly and unsolicited into her paintings.
