Thoughts and idea behind many of his illustrations are taken from shady characters and the environments in everyday life and how they expose and behave themselves in social media and real life. Syafiq responded through out the frenetic pen lines, jumbled character piles and messy composition to a variety of applications. Focused only on the society, Syafiq’s work is seemingly chaotic, with ‘tones’ of colour influenced by informercials, cartoons, sweets and the over -consumption of popular culture.

Syafiq graduated in Bachelor (hons) in Fine Art from UiTM Shah Alam (2009), majored in painting. Syafiq is a multidisciplinary artist and illustrator, working both in fine art world and the commercial sphere. Started to get involved with art exhibitions since 2007. Works in acrylic, watercolour, pen & ink and digital illustration on mostly 2D surfaces like canvas and by far his most trusted medium is pen and digital illustration. He uses them exhaustively to describe an ever-expanding world of technology, exaggerated with nature, and misfits.
